Dr. Sophie Epstein
MRC Clinical Research Training Fellow
Sophie Epstein is an MRC Clinical Research Training Fellow in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at The Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King’s College London and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
Her research interests are in child and adolescent mental health epidemiology, school-based mental health, early intervention and prevention, with a particular focus on self-harm.
She is currently completing a PhD on school absence as a predictor of mental health outcomes in adolescents using linked mental health and education data resources, and working with others within the CAMHS Digital Lab Team as well as external collaborators, using the myJournE mobile application to pilot a mental health consultation service for schools in South London.
