Dr. Hissah Al Abdulsalam

Hissah is a PhD researcher in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at King’s College London, affiliated with the DRIVE-Health programme. Her research focuses on developing future-oriented frameworks for evaluating and regulating digital health technologies from a global perspective, with a focus on mental health technologies and their application in child and adolescent psychiatry.

A doctor by background, Hissah completed her medical degree at King Saud University and holds an MSc in Personalised Medicine and Novel Therapies from UCL. Trained in neurosurgery, she brings a clinician’s perspective on risk, safety, precision, and decision-making to her work on how digital mental health technologies can be effectively evaluated, regulated, and integrated within the wider healthcare system.
