Dr Eleni (Eleana) Frisira
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Trainee, PhD Student
Eleana is a Higher Specialty Trainee in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and a Wellcome-funded PhD student. She has joined the CAMHS Digital Lab as part of her doctoral research on personality disorder diagnoses in young people.
Her research focuses on adolescent risk factors and developmental trajectories of young people with personality disorder diagnoses. Eleana uses linked electronic health records alongside qualitative interviews to better understand individual risk profiles during this developmental period as well as young people’s experiences within mental health services. Her work aims to improve early identification, reduce barriers to care, and inform more accessible, evidence-based, and developmentally-appropriate services.
Her broader interests include neurodevelopmental conditions, emotional disorders in children and young people, and child and adolescent psychiatric epidemiology.
