Cato is a research assistant in the Brain Health in Gen 2020 research. Brain Health in Gen 2020 is an exciting new prospective, multimillion pound longitudinal study aiming to assess how the prenatal mother-baby environment, including exposures such as maternal Covid 19, impacts upon early brain development and later childhood outcomes.

Cato’s research is focused on developing digital products which will improve the tracking of developmental milestones of the children participating in this research (e.g. motor, cognitive, social and emotional). She does this by researching and defining requirements for a parent-facing digital app. With this, she combines her background in Neuroscience, Applied Cognitive Psychology, and Design Thinking.
