Brian Ching

Brian is a PhD student with the CAMHS Digital Lab and Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry funded by the Medical Research Council Doctoral Training Partnership (MRC DTP). 


His research investigates the longitudinal impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the mental health of children and young people with pre-existing mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions, such as depression, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) using data linkage, epidemiological, and qualitative methods. 


Other research interests include causal inferencing of predictors of mental health problems in childhood and adolescence, developing and evaluating interventions for mental health problems in children and young people, and increasing treatment access in minoritised groups.
