New (academic) year and new beginnings for two Lab members

17/09/24

We wish Drs. Alice Wickersham and Sophie Epstein good luck as they begin new roles

Congratulations to our Lab members Alice Wickersham and Sophie Epstein, both of whom have recently accepted new roles.

Our Academic Lead Dr. Alice Wickersham will soon begin work as a Lecturer at UCL in the Division of Psychiatry. This takes her back to UCL where she completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, and she will teach on the same Master’s course and module which she took herself! But it’s not goodbye: we will still have Alice for half her time, and look forward to continuing to create research under her excellent leadership.

Meanwhile, Dr. Sophie Epstein has just accepted a new role as Clinical Lecturer at Bristol University. This is an incredible achievement for Sophie, to advance her career so rapidly after finishing both her PhD and her psychiatry training this year. First, though, she will be busy with a slightly different task – Sophie has just gone on maternity leave, and Epstein, Jr. (2024) is expected to be with us in just a couple of weeks. We wish Sophie the very best in this new transition, and cannot wait to continue working with her from her new role next year.
